THE 2021 SELF PORTRAIT PRIZE WILL OPEN FOR SUBMISSION FROM JANUARY 2021.
Entering a new decade the 2021 iteration of the Prize brings with it exciting new opportunities.
Our panel of prestigious judges including, Will Gompertz(BBC Chief Arts Editor), Sir Ian Blatchford (Chief Executive and Director of the Science Museum Group), Victoria Miro (prominent international Gallerist), The Right Honourable Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb (an honourary member of the Queen’s Bench Division of the High Court Justice Sytems), Kate Bryan (art presenter and curator) and 2019 winner, David Dawson, (known predominantly for his abstract landscape imagery) will sit alongside a member of the Borchard family to select a winner of the £10,000 award and shortlist of highly commended self portraits to be publicly exhibited.
A longlist of works will gain international exposure through inclusion in a dedicated online exhibition, shared and promoted across major art selling platforms.
A selection of works will be acquired for the Collection.
