This is my third self-portrait, is a reflection on the past years just before an exhilarating moment of being the recipient of the Ruth Borchard Prize in 2017 to events of handling the loss of a loved one, connecting with my second homeland, new beginnings in other career path while still creating paintings. Challenges in the world today raise questions and answers. I feel optimistic and hopeful but also aware that the solutions such as doing what is right as a start could make a lot of difference.
