SELF PORTRAIT PRIZE 2025
The 2025 prize was awarded to Hanieh Yavari for her photograph Squeezed by Shades from the Brutal Resilience Series, 2023. The artwork was selected from 41 shortlisted entries by an esteemed judging panel comprising presenter and comedian Alan Carr, Dr Sarah Turner (Director of the Paul Mellon Centre), Simon Vincent CBE (Executive Vice President & President, Hilton EMEA), cultural leader Sir Peter Bazalgette, 2023 Prize winner Colin Davidson, and grandson of Ruth Borchard, Alex Brenden.
An exhibition of selected shortlisted works was on view at the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum in Bournemouth from 21 July - 7 September 2025. All longlisted and shortlisted artworks were published online via VR exhibition on Vortic and on Artsy, as well as in the curated viewing rooms below.
