‘Drowning in Indecision’ was inspired by the struggle of choosing what to eat. Everything looks delicious but when everything is amazing, nothing is. When one item of food looks more appealing than the rest, there are other drawbacks. This dish might be calorically high or looks may be deceiving. Food is sustenance. Food is nourishment. Food is joy. Food is life. Food makes you fat and ugly. When I was in the fifth grade, I was chubby. My mother would ask me, multiple times, when the baby was coming. A worker at an amusement park told me that I couldn’t go on a ride because he thought I was pregnant. I was not even scientifically classified as overweight. I love food. There is so much to try, so much to experience, so many new dishes that look filling, exotic, comforting. So many that could promise and bring obesity, bloating, and pimples. I need food to survive, but what can I have for dinner tonight?
