"A monochromatic figure of a woman. Her gaze is direct and unwavering, exuding confidence and defiance. Rendered primarily in shades of charcoal, her contours are defined by strong, expressive lines and subtle shading. The suit she wears—loose yet tailored—adds a sculptural, architectural quality to the pose.
Her composition plays with both posture and perspective: her upright torso and outstretched legs create a dynamic diagonal across the panel, framed by the negative space of the background. My choice of a raw woodgrain background gives a grounded, organic texture, allowing the figure to both emerge from and dissolve into the surface.
She is simultaneously intimate and confrontational—capturing a moment of stillness filled with strength, self-possession, and introspection."
