"In my childhood, I often wore an ""Indian"" headband with two attached black braids on my white-blond hair. I felt strong then! In this two colored linocut, I wear that headband as an exhausted and bitter adult, in the childlike illusion that it, along with orange war paint, gives me more courage, strength, and power for my current life.
Unlike usual, the bright, vivid orange overprints the black print.
The gritty, rough black print could also exist on its own, but the bright orange overprint makes the illusion even stronger and wilder.
