66 1/8 x 21 5/8 in£ 17,000.00I am fascinated in mapping the human body and all natural forms, and for this self-portrait I underwent an MRI scan at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Using a technique I developed, I hand engraved details from the scans onto multiple sheets of glass, which I then stacked on a slatted, underlit base. The result is a three-dimensional sculptural drawing, suspended in space. Stripped of recognisable features, but retaining anatomical accuracy, I think it may be the most objective form of portraiture.Self Portrait Prize 2023
