The Artist in the Studio is theme used by many artists, sometimes through self-portraiture, sometimes through portraits of other artists and, sometimes, a coincidental by-product of the artist as creator. Showcasing a selection of works by Shanti Panchal (2017 Winner), David Dawson (2019 Winner), Colin Davidson (shortlisted 2019 & work acquired by National Gallery of Ireland) & Charlie Schaffer (shortlisted 2019) the display presents a dynamic, visual account of the theme as it exists in current practice. In parallel with the continuation of the Prize the exhibition serves as a celebration of contemporary practices.
